My Celebrity look-alikes

In looking through some friends blogs I came across a new post on Cathy's blog. She took this little celebrity look-alike thingy and suggested others do it. So I did Cathy, and prepare to be jealous!!! :-)

According to this I look like...
1.) An American model...a budwiser girl/Miss Texas, and small screen actress (Krista Allen).
2.) An Estonian Supermodel (Tiiu Kuik).
3.) An Italian Model and Acress...known in America for her role in the Matrix sequels as Persephone (Monica Bellucci).
4.) An American film actress (Natalie Wood).
5.) Another American film actress (Lara Flynn Boyle).
6.) American actress and entrepreneur known from her role on Full House and constant partying...(Ashley Olsen)...this one makes me cringe!
7.) Lead singer of the successful rock band Bon Jovi (Jon Bon Jovi)
8.) Brazilian Supermodel known for her work with Victoria's Secret (Gisele Bundchen)

Could anything else happen?

Ok so last week was the week from hell. My dad went in for a biopsy 2 weeks ago, then they left on vacation for the week. Last Wednesday they got the biopsy results back and they were positive. My dad has cancer. He goes into the hospital this week to have a CAT scan, the doctors think it might have spread to his kidneys....

This week isn't starting off great either. I went to the doctors to resolve some issues I was having, and the doctor has found a mass, a mass of what we don't know. So tomorrow I get to have more blood work done, then this Thursday I get to go to Rochester General to have an ultrasound...oh goodie. All this and I'm starting the new job on the 8th....What is suppose to be an exciting time for me is starting to suck big time...

The Job Hunt is Over!!!!

It's official; I have a full time job at Hillside Family of Agencies! I'm so psyched, I'll have health insurance, and I can pay off my bills, my car, and get a new cell phone! I got the call this afternoon. I'll be a Residential Sociotherapist at Lang cottage on the Monroe Ave. campus. My official start date is September 8th, and its a paid orientation day, the following week is training. My supervisor will get back to me this week to give me my work schedule. Before I actually start I have to schedule a pre-employment physical, have a TB shot, go through OMH fingerprinting, and have my official college transcripts sent.

As for my job at the Parma Library, I'm going to try to work at least 2 nights/mornings a week. I'll stay on to help train a new page, but after that I'll probably be leaving for good. Its kind of sad, I've been there 7 years and it's all I've known. The people there are awesome and my 2nd family, it will be hard to leave. But I'll stop in to see everyone, and there will always be our girls’ nights and tennis games right Amy and Tina?!

On a darker note, my dad gets his biopsy results back tomorrow, as to whether or not he has cancer. I heard my dad talking to my aunt yesterday, and the doctor told him it doesn't look too good. I guess we'll be crossing our fingers and praying for the best. I don't know what I'd do if I lost my dad, I'm 100% a daddy's little girl, if it turns out he has cancer it will be a crushing blow.

BTW I've posted pictures of Matthew's first birthday in my photo gallery.

Testing...

I spent the day at my sisters to spend some time with her and the kids. I brought my new camera and took a few pics of Matthew to test it. I love this camera! Its 100 times better then the cheap one I had. So I've posted one of the pics of my little peanut, the rest will be put in my photo gallary.

Stuff

Things seem to be looking up on the job front. I found out last week that Hillside Family of Agencies are contacting my references which is a very good sign. Then I realized that they do background checks and that is whats taking so freakin long. I really need this job, not only do I need the health insurance, but I'm poor as hell. So what do I do? I go out and buy a digital camera! I'm excited about it now, but the shopper's guilt is kicking in, especially when I think about all the birthdays and events coming up, but hey at least I'll have nice pictures of the events!

Lets see...Sarah's birthday is Aug. 13, my nephew Matthew is turning 1 Aug. 22, both Matthew and Joshua are being baptized into the Lutheran Church the end of August. My brother-in-law's birthday is Sept. 1, my parents 37th wedding anniversary is Sept. 18, my friend Katie is getting married Sept. 23, my sister's birthday is Sept. 25, and my other nephew Joshua is turning 4 Sept. 26. Whew that's a lot of presents!

Switching gears... I finally got my diploma Friday!!! Then I realized my parents have shelled out over $31,000 the last 5 years for a piece of paper...and a piece of paper that isn't doing me any good right now.... hmmm makes you think....
